Crystal Castles, published by Atari in 1983, is an isometrically drawn maze game in which you control Bentley Bear as he ventures treasure-filled castles and avoids enemies such as the Popcorn King and Goblin. Pick up stray gems to progress levels, find teleporters, and get bonus points for digging traps.

The front of the cabinet, slanted vertically, sports paintings on its painted side panels: ruby-clutching Bentley Bear amidst crystalline spires in pink and ice pastel sketches. Beneath the 19-inch CRT, an angled control panel makes room for a four-way joystick and an action button. A marquee lit in spelling out "CRYSTAL CASTLES" in ic-tinted letters, a mono speaker pumps out elfin chimes and roars.
